"No way!" Now her pride was on the line. She had to do a good job. "I wasn't moving that slow and I can totally win. I've even gotten better at fighting Molly, so I know I'm better." Well, better against Molly's lowest setting which amounted to a cat playing with it's food, but hey. What the kid didn't realize was just fine by her. She took a solid stance and nodded, ready to go.
Bates looked at the two women and then grinned. "You know what. I'll take her on." She them how a real man fought. This was clearly a hen party, even if he was keeping an eye on two of them. He had never seen Molly do anything too difficult, and the youngest one seemed to just be learning. "I'll go easy on you." He promised Scotty.
Molly glanced between the two and smiled. "Alright. Sounds like we'll have a nice friendly spar. Remember, no below the belts and no head shots. We're being friendly." Bates took his position and Molly watched the two carefully before calling a start to the fight. She could barely watch it though as both of them frankly did a terrible job, broadcasting their every move, both moving human slow. 'This is painful to watch.'

Chuckling mentally, Catherine couldn't help but agree. 'It is very painful. But so far he suspects nothing.' She replied as she watched the pair square off. While it wouldn't have even registered on her radar normally, she could tell that Bates was more than likely receiving a bit of assistance from the crazy old bat, Grigore. 'I'll do a brief skim of his mind while he's distracted, then we'll move onto the twerp.' Catherine added as she reached out.
Delicately and carefully, she stretched herself out across the gulf between the two minds, intent on only touching the barest portion of the other's surface. Meanwhile, she carefully kept herself cloaked in the anonymity of a organization that employed various other telepaths of varying degrees of talent. 'In the meantime, keep goading them.. it might actually force the kid to move.'

'Be careful.' The other would have to be. If the old one was riding Bates in anyway, and judging by his slightly above human reflexes, he may be, then the other would have to be careful. Molly watched the fight a moment longer then groaned. "Bates! You're an officer, you can do better than this. And Scotty, dhampir speed. Dhampir speed, not human speed, for God's sake." Convincing the kid she could in fact move that fast was getting to be a pain in the ass. At least Molly wouldn't need to worry about teaching control. Control it seemed the other had down entirely too well.
Bates and Scotty continued to fight, though Bates actually got sloppier, even as Scotty actually picked up the pace a little bit. At least the goading was working. The two were thoroughly distracted, both with pride on the line as they fought each other, though Molly would hardly call it a proper fight. Then again, if she could weasel one out of Catherine later, she had not doubt she'd lose spectacularly.
Constantine noticed someone touching the mind of his current pawn, however lightly and allowed it, cloaking his presence so only a truly talented telepath would even notice his taint in the human's mind. For now, he was distracted by the pitiful showing of his youngest daughter. At least she was learning how to fight, though she was doing a miserable job of it. Perhaps this one wasn't worth keeping at all.

Catherine frowned, and withdrew from Bates's mind careful to not leave a trace of her being there. Her suspicions had been confirmed, and this only deepened her concern for whatever Grigore had planned. While a war was what the ancient one wanted, she was going to ensure a war was not what he got. His signature or hands were all over Bates and his motives; but what had been Bates's motives for allowing the vampire into his mind? Most if not all officers were trained to avoid psychic corruption, with special attention being paid to the empaths, and telepaths.
'Our suspicions are correct... we'll discuss elsewhere.' She said quickly to Molly as she turned the majority of her attention back to the girl and her partner.

'We still going with the knock him out plan?' It could have changed, based on what Catherine had found. Externally though, Molly groaned. "Bates, this is a pitiful showing. Remedial training if you don't win. And you know what, because I'm nice, double training for a week for doing piss poor Scotty, and triple if you don't win!" There was nothing like being forced to train with Molly to convince people that keeping up standards was a much better choice. Given that Molly led the remedial training course in Dallas, though she kept it to field agent readiness instead of specialist readiness, no one seemed to want to be sentenced to it.
She was a little intense when it came to fighting. She had her reasons, but it did tend to scare people off. As did the fact that she had a widely known about sparring ban against anyone who was not, at least, a specialist.
"Not cool!" Scotty shouted and tried harder, managing to get a few hard hits on Bates. The officer fought back harder as well, having no desire to have to deal with remedial training at all.

"Looks like your boss is right there kid, you need help." Catherine commented shaking her head. For now she'd keep up the charade with Bates, and had even altered her own glamour to reflect that. She was perfectly content to let him wonder who exactly was dumb enough to accompany Molly on her morning training sessions with the kid.
'Knock him out could be beneficial... but I don't want the old bastard catching wind of anything.' Catherine answered.

'Then we change how we do it just a bit.' No one was at good at breaking wards as Molly. But to break them, she had to know them and know wards well enough to decipher it. She had encountered wards using differential equations as part of their matrix. Creating a simple ward at the front of her pupils relatively slow moving fist wasn't easy, but the challenge was more in the fact that said fist was moving and she had to keep it undetected.
Bates managed to block the next few hits, but Scotty punched in a wild haymaker. Normally, there wouldn't be enough force behind it to actually work, but with a bit of quiet aid from a rather mischievous Molly, the dhampir managed to knock out the officer. Molly whistled, acting impressed. "Took you long enough. Just double training for you, and remedial for him, I suppose. Once he wakes up."
She wasn't known for insisting people got medical attention, so she rather hoped the other would do it. It would be suspicious is Molly suggested it, given her own firm lack of seeing the doctor.

"If, because that was over kill!" Catherine corrected quickly running over to check on the other officer. "Christ... what the hell are you teaching this kid Molly?" She asked as she knelt to check the man's pulse and other vitals. Being knocked out like this hadn't been the goal, but Molly always did take things a bit far. Overkill seemed to be the other's middle name, and while Scotty was going to learn to defend herself, it was also going to open the other up to more problems by learning Molly's bad habits.
"Molly, you might want to call an ambulance.. I don't think he's going to be okay." Catherine added with a frown. All she had wanted to do was confirm her suspicions, and then have Molly move Scotty to a different location and time for training. Instead now she had an injured officer and the potential for even more on her plate.

"Ah hell." Molly grumbled and knelt next to Catherine. 'Sorry. Measuring force is still hard. I thought it'd be light.' It should have been a light one, just enough to knock him out. She couldn't believe she had screwed this up too. "We have a doctor on staff again. I can br-" no, bringing was not allowed. "Call her over." Molly frowned and glanced up to Scotty who looked devastated. "Hey. It's going to be okay, and he's going to be okay." She hoped. And if not, Scotty would never find out, ever.
The teenager looked near tears as she nodded frantically. "I'll call 911..." She whispered, feeling horrible about herself. Molly mentally swore. She definitely needed to improve her definition of force. That had supposed to have been just barely enough to knock him out. Not to do any serious damage.
It was perhaps telling that Molly didn't consider being knocked out to be remotely serious damage.
Bates' pulse was steady if slightly elevated from the work out. If Catherine checked his pupils, she'd see no sign of a concussion or other injury. There was some bruising already evident where he had been hit, but that was it for now, though his jaw was likely cracked, at least.

'Hard? Molly... I'm beginning to think you're the one who needs help with magic, not me.' Catherine replied, her attention divided once more between their conversation and Bates. "Give them a call Molly, we'll deal with the kid after this guy." She added as she checked the man's vitals again. Catherine wasn't any sort of doctor or anything similar, but generally knocking someone out didn't end well.
"Well.. no concussion I think... but he's got a pretty good shiner." Catherine commented hesitant to really even move the guy. She'd prefer not to cause anymore damage that had already been caused, and while she did have Council's permission to plug the leak, this wasn't exactly how she had planned to do it.

'Mostly self taught. Accidents happen.' Her mentor hadn't been big on controlling all magic. Though he'd near kill her for that screw up. He could never know. Ever. She could already feel the- Ah hell, now she felt she had to do the stupid punishment exercises. With a sigh, she went through her gym bag and pulled out a cell phone, the dialed the doctor's office number. The office, at least, was on her phone and the number hadn't changed. 'It still shouldn't have hit him that hard. I'll work on control harder.' Before her mentor found out ever. Her muscles ached just thinking about it. 'Maybe a week or two off once this is settled, to work on control.' That should help. Theoretically. "Ugh, come on pick up."
Phones were slow, but Molly was expressly forbidden from just traveling magically inside MCU. The other line clicked on and before the other could speak, Molly shot off talking. "Hey doc, this is Sergeant Bronson. We've got a situation at the training facility. Can you come over?" The other responded fast enough and Molly rolled her eyes. "Define incident, I'm still trying to deal with exams. Not to mention paperwork. Is anyone dying, in acoma, bleeding internally?" Paperwork could seriously wait and it's not like everyone wouldn't gladly put off the exam. Well, some of the beat cops may not mind paid time getting checked over by the doc. "Possible head trauma. Spar went wrong." The other responded, and Molly could hear the distrust. Geez, give a person a hard time one time. Molly didn't joke about other people's safety. "...This isn't a set up, is it? Payback for the whole 'stop being a brat' thing?"
Oh the other was going to get it. Molly glanced over to see if Catherine had caught that bit. She was never certain how good the warden's hearing was. Still, she was incredibly insulted and her face lifted into a snarl before she forced herself to calm down. The doctor was an idiot, but she was MCU's idiot. There was no snapping at her. Unlike the idiot on the ground now, the doctor, thus far, wasn't a traitor. "Doctor, if this was a set up, I wouldn't have used my title. Get over here." A set up. Molly was significantly more professional than that. "Alright, alright, I'm on my way. Keep them sitting upright, and awake. Keep them talking too, if you can, unless it becomes too difficult for them." Good, she was coming. "He's out cold, but I'll see about waking him up. See you shortly." Molly hung up and gave the phone to Scotty who looked traumatized with a sigh she mussed the kid's hair. "Hey. Go wash your ace. It'll help you calm down. And don't worry, the doc is good and she's on her way."
Nodding, Scotty took off to do just that.

"Wake him up? And how does the good doctor think we're going to do that?" Catherine asked sarcastically. She had heard the majority of the conversation, but found it best to not say anything. More than likely if there was truly a problem with Molly, the other would have asked to see her. The directors for the Dallas office were a bit too clueless for their own good, they could manage the beat officers, but the specialists tended to get ignored in hopes they would go do something else besides give them a headache.
But, Bates was still out cold, no doubt enjoying his little nap with wild dreams of something other than sugar plums dancing through his head. "You do realize she doesn't react well to doctors.. right?" Catherine pointed out to Molly about Scotty. It had been like pulling teeth to insist the other see a therapist, specifically one for the unseen; even once she had started it had been several knock down drag out fights about it.

"And that is why she is in the locker room." Molly said simply. "And if I can keep her well away from said doctor, I will be pleased." Scotty had been way too traumatized by Broadmoore and Molly wanted no details. It was enough to know that she was glad it was under new management, even if that had been by blackmailing the council and extreme force. The planeswalker looked to Catherine and frowned. 'Are you going to be okay?' Hopefully the other would be. For that matter... She reached out, speaking a little louder than she usually did mentally.
'Scotty, the mcu doc is on her way. You can stay in the locker room or hit the weights. I know you don't like doctors.' She wasn't going to torment the kid. Making her live up to her potential is one thing. Torturing her was another entirely. Her shields down for the second it took to reach out. Molly didn't quite notice the rider she hitched back behind her shields until it was much too late. Eyes gleaming, the officer spoke.
"Daughter. This one makes a lovely host, you know." And Catherine seemed hesitant to attack Molly, at least somewhat so it worked well. "A shame about her mental defenses. They're so meager...it must be why her people keep their young so swaddled."

Catherine just sighed and shook her head as she turned to pick up her bottle of water from where she'd left it on the floor. "Is there something you want other than to be a pain in my ass, old man?" She questioned the other bluntly. There would be so many words with Molly later about mental shielding, but for now she was stuck dealing with Griogre and his insistence on hijacking others bodies and minds.
Far as Catherine had been able to count, the vampire had been able to rack up at least two, if not more counts of enthrallment. That alone had Council chomping at the bit to be rid of him, and she couldn't say she blamed them either. "Because if you don't, go find some other poor sod to annoy." She added, finding him little more than annoying at this point.

"An invitation." He said simply. "Do relax. I'll release her soon enough. But for now, an invitation to dinner for you and your sister. Tomorrow at 8 pm at Del Frisco's." In public they'd have a hell of a time attacking him and he well knew it. "I would suggest you come. No amount of amulets would keep me out of this one's mind after all. And it would do me no harm for her to drown or fall to her death." And she had no mental shields to spek of, her own natural ones torn to tatters.
Every time they started to get better shit like this happened to her too. there was no winning for the fae girl.
He smiled at her using Molly's mouth, more pleased than not. "Your sister is clearly learning swiftly after all, given she can finally defend herself from a human. A reward is in order." A meal with their father was reward enough. The vampire slipped from Molly's mind without waiting for a response, confident they would be there. Molly dropped her head into her hands and soothed her pulsing magic as best she could. "...I may have to go with the doc myself." To a private room to recover in peace. The doc may know her secret now, but Molly wasn't going to make it easy to find out. As it was, holding up her magical intensive glamour was hard. "I have on an amulet, and fucking got a temp tatoo of a mental ward. How does he keep doing that?" She felt violated.
