Tyrus found the correct spell and read it over, finger under the words as he slowly read it. "This is it. It's complex, and I'll need time to set it up. It's also going to leave you ravenous and in pain as they regrow." He looked up and met her eyes with a smile. "But it's doable. One at a time, I think. And you'll want a meal handy when it happens. Your injury happened earlier. You'll need more blood to recover."
But it was fixable and she'd be able to feed herself appropriately once the ritual was complete. "And this was a bribe. I was at college and they were trying to convince me to drop out." It hadn't worked. He had managed to get his degree and his masteries and he was proud of every one. They had been hard work. Besides, he never would have met some of his friends if he hadn't of given college a try at least.

Catherine surpressed a shudder at the memory of the pain from years ago, it wasn't something she looked forward to repeating. Brandon could take the supposed cure first, and if it worked she would follow. But she wasn't certain if it was what she wanted to do, but it was the least she could do for Brandon. It had been his idea to petition for her release from Broadmoore, and a few sympathizers on the Council had voted for it as well. "Then Brandon can try first. It'll be easier to acquire what he needs first." She would have to plan things out much more carefully for herself, because if Tyrus was right, she would be in no shape to do much of anything.
"Bribery didn't work it seems though. Grandmother tries it with me relatively often." Catherine pointed out. Tatianna would have liked nothing more than for Catherine to live at the Seelie Court full time, but despite the monarch's desire, there was little left there for her after Sir William's death. In some ways she still mourned the man who had raised her, and was loathe to allow the dead to bury themselves in order to move forward.

"Have him here in one month. It'll be more powerful done at midnight and he'll need to do a ritual purification ahead of time." He'd hire soemone to handle the mirror situation. There were services after all, for the people who couldn't do it themselves. He could buy a shed and have the be the mirror way point. It was not going to be great accommodations, but it would be something at least. He read through the ritual once more.
"I'll need to buy a few things special order. I'm afraid I'm going to have to charge for this one to be able to get the ingredients." Otherwise, he wouldn't bother, given it was for a friend. But some of these were rare or expensive or both. They existed and he had no doubt Monmack would get his hands on them if Tyrus asked, but they would be tricky to source.

"Of course." Catherine readily agreed. She wasn't certain yet that Brandon would agree, but he had been eager to find a solution. "That's solstice isn't it?" She asked doing a quick estimate. A month wasn't much time when one thought about it, especially given that most of the unseen was relatively long lived in one way or another. Time generally wasn't a thing that many took into consideration, often barely cognizant of the passing of days or even years.
"I understand. Not everything comes cheaply and I'm afraid it appears that I've relied on your good will too long."

"I may be able to get both of you in one night under the conditions." He checked his calendar. "The solstice is a good time for rituals. And I normally wouldn't but some of the ingredients are...well, my supplier is going to be put through his paces." The dwarf could handle it. Tyrus already knew that much. He specialized in stones of course, but this would still be doable. He hummed and considered the probable magic requirements. "If we find a coven of seven, they may be able to do it too. It would depend on their strength." He was powerful enough to do it on his own.
Most weren't. Big magic like this would usually require a coven of seven, or perhaps 13. That would make it more certain. "I'll have to do the math to be sure. Numerology is...annoying." It wasn't his favorite. He was probably going to have Molly check his work too, assuming she was still there. She had a math degree. She could probably do numerology.

Catherine was quiet as she thought about the proposed ritual and Tyrus's suggestion of them both. She knew that while the magic would be the most powerful on that date, it was also at its most wild and uncontrollable. "Solstice is a dangerous time though, are you certain?" She asked, unsure of how her own magic would react. If anything, she suspected it would work in concert, amplifying the ritual and its associated spells.
"Finding a coven might not be possible, most of them have gone to ground after an incident a few years back." The only coven she knew of was the one that Brandon had sometimes hung around. That had ended terribly, and Catherine couldn't help but feel responsible for ruining some bit of happiness her nephew had found. Her job had made things so terribly complicated, and even now she found herself constantly reminded of why she had left.

"If you can find me a third vampire, I could do three linked rituals. I'm strong enough and it would be doable. I'll have someone check my math on it but three tends to be an amplifying number." He glanced to her and smiled. "If you're worried about your magic, don't be. I can ground it at the same time." If was going to burn like a bitch but he could do it. "I'll want a bodyguard during it." He admitted. "You'll be hungry and I'll be weakened after the ritual." And he didn't trust her instincts when she was in the midst of that much pain.
"We can do it another night too. It doesn't have to be the solstice if that makes you nervous." And he could see why it would. The solstice was a good day to do a ritual that you needed a boost in magic for. "And covens have always been hard to find, especially a larger one." Finding a larger one that would cooperate with the dragon court would be difficult. He didn't actually know if that was possible.

"I was born on the winter solstice, Tyrus..." Catherine confessed. She was inexorably linked to the veil and the magic. Her concern wasn't the magic being grounded, it was overwhelming Tyrus and anyone else. Finding a bodyguard would be difficult, considering that was more people who had to know. "And yes it makes me nervous, for good reason." She added. A third could be found, if she would even agree to it. But that would be difficult, and their relationship had not exactly started off on the best foot.

Tyrus added that to his mental math and grimaced. "The day after the solstice for you. Or the day before" That would make it much more easy to handle. "But we can do Brandon on the solstice itself." That would be fine. Brandon didn't have anything that Tyrus was aware of that would complicate any magic done on that day. He ran his eyes over the equation once more and pursed his lips. "I'll let you decide which day you prefer." Either way, he still wanted some sort of bodyguard for this. It was bad enough they'd need donors. He didn't actually think the donors would survive the experience.
"Are you comfortable with the amount of blood you'll need to drink? I know it's not your favorite thing." Why would it be?

"The day after would be safest." Catherine knew that after the solstice, there was a short window where the magic was near unreachable. For her, the less she could lay her hands on the better for Tyrus and anyone else involved. "I thought you knew though." The magic was difficult to control on a good day, but during the solstice it could be raw and unbridled power of the likes no one had ever seen before.
"I'm not comfortable with it.. but I want to be... whole." She sighed, pulling her arms close about her. There were still times where she woke up, disoriented and unsure of where she was.

"We'll find some willing donors." To help soften the edge. It was doable, though equally tricky. "And I knew your birthday. I'm just confident you'll be able to maintain control." She'd be whole soon enough. The day after the solstice she'd be healed. He put a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "You'll be whole soon." She'd heal well, he'd make sure of it. He had a test run with Brandon ahead of time and would be able to make sure everything went smoothly. Then he'd get his friend done and she'd be able to feed herself much better than she currently was.
He was glad he had ended the practice of pulling the fangs of vampires in custody. It was utterly barbaric and he wished people had acknowledged that significantly sooner than they had. Some of them still hadn't, but he was enforcing the new policy with an iron fist. You shouldn't be tortured because of your species.
