"Life at the court isn't anything I haven't dealt with before." Catherine replied, clearly unamused by his question. "Things are certainly easier when I don't have individuals like Klein constantly looking for obstructions to put in my path." She added. The discussion with Kasimir had gone well enough, although the Councilor had looked absolutely terrified afterwards. Catherine had barely laid a hand on the vampire, but had communicated what she wanted and what the court needed well enough.
"Stress comes from lack of support to do my job, Tyrus. And not having the Council's noose around my neck as well. I don't intend to be someone's bloody scarifice to appease whatever gods they think will listen ever again."

"Good." He meant it too. He'd talk to the other two and make it clear that they were to leave her alone. She was happier now. That would have to be enough. "I'll run interference I can for you then, keep Molly and Xiaolian off your back." They, specifically Molly, were going to be difficult about all of this. He may end up silencing the fae again until she decided to actually listen. That was always fun. She got incredibly frustrated and had no clue how to remove the hex.
"I am admittedly found of silencing spells on Molly." He grinned wickedly. "I think I'm going to push for her to be sent back home. She's a child." She didn't need to be working as a cop of any sort. If they needed her, they could reach out, but she should be back on that ridiculous farm handling life there.

"I'm not concerned about Xiaolian, she's... hm.. how should I put this.. smart enough to know whose corner to put herself in." Catherine said slowly. Molly on the other hand still had youth and passion, both good things, but not the head to know how to use either properly. No doubt that she had been bombarding the other non-stop since being sent home. In some ways Catherine was grateful that the other had been dismissed as such a child, and publically, during the gala. It made her potential petition to the Council all that much more easily accomplished.
"Molly however, you're right. Do you know that the first reports she sent me were written in fae gaelic? She also seemed to enjoy giving herself a concussion on my door... before Walther and his boots took it out." She added.

"Her degree is from an american university. She shouldn't be writing reports in fae at all." That wasn't the lingua franca here. He pinched his nose and considered his options. "I suppose I will have to push on them to release her or...I don't know, ground her to the fae realm." That was probably a thing the council could do. "She's currently on community service, but I think she's too immature for the community service she's doing." Entirely too immature.
He sighed. "Should we petition the council together? You as the court and me as the head of Broadmoore perhaps." That was a possibility. He had stepped in on sentences before after all, from time to time. He could do so again.

"Welcome to the recent years of my life, mage." Catherine grinned. She had really tried to find a way to manage Molly, but in the end the other had decided upon actions that could not be classified as anything other than childish. Much of the sneaking around and playing that Molly did was more appropriate for a 12 year old than a woman supposedly old enough to be in law enforcement.
"If we offer a joint petition, I'm sure the Council would strongly consider it. Besides, I spoke with Kasimir earlier." All she would have to do was lean ever so slightly on the memory of their last meeting if he decided to be noncompliant. Though granted, Catherine considered that to be more of an inconvience than anything else and would prefer to not have to stoop to such.
"While community service is generally offered to officers who are considered valuable assets to the Council's cause... I don't think a child wardbreaker, regardless of how talented... has the emotional maturity required. I saw her at the gala, it wasn't good Tyrus."

"At least she didn't look like a child." He had ensured that much. "Even if she acted the part. Kasimir will vote the way the court instructs him to. The other councilor's it depends on our case. If you can convert her age to the equivalent human age, she'd likely come up short on the minimum age requirement." He assumed as much at least. The minimum age was roughly 22 developmentally. He could assume she wasn't that old easily.
She came out to about 19, despite her immaturity. The real question was why had no one done the math before.

"Oh believe me, I am well aware. We had that discussion and it was very enlightening." Catherine acknowledged. She wasn't sure that she was ready to admit to herself that she had enjoyed being able to push back against the other's trademark nonsense. "Edevane can be pressed to vote for it as well, considering it could be argued that Molly risks fae lives that are outside the realm. I'm more concerned with Blackwelder and Euthios."
The two human Councilors could be difficult to sell on any issue of security, but Catherine suspected that Molly was on thin ice with them already. They just had to push it just a little to get what they wanted.
"If you convert her age to the human equivalent..." She guessed. "It's roughly between 18 and 19. Minimum age requirement for an officer position is 21, 25 with a degree from a accredited university or program for Specialists."

She has the degree, but misses the age requirement entirely." He pointed out. "So Klein and Edevane would be a yes. I'd be willing to bet the others would still be upset by her vandalism. Having her in another realm entirely may reassure them." That and keeping her out of the human realm until she had a chance to mature significantly. "I'll coordinate schedules so we can get this over with. We don't need a full council for something like this after all." Three would be enough to see it done.
It was settled. The much too young fae was going home, whether she knew it or not. The council would probably be thrilled to be getting her out of their hair in every way entirely. Tyrus fixed his tea and moved the electric kettle closer to her so she could fix her own how she liked it. He let it steep and considered what else there was to talk about. "Will you be keeping your old condo?"

"Sadly, yes. She is talented, but the disciplinary issues somewhat over shadow it enough to not make an exception." Catherine agreed. She hadn't entirely resigned from her position as Warden, but had decided to take a leave of absence, at least on paper. As far as she was concerned, she had few intentions of returning until some things were resolved; Molly being one of those such things.
"The Condo? I hadn't thought of what I'm going to do with it." She answered. The wards alone would likely kill any mundane, or member of the unseen for that matter. Catherine had charged them herself, although it had taken a bit of research with trial and error.

"I suggest keeping it. That way you have a place to get away from court life every now and then." He had found that to be relaxing himself, which is why he got the ranch to begin with. It had become his primary home largely because he had ended up liking living in the middle of nowhere much more than he thought he would. And now it was covered in smoke damage and heat damage. He was just hoping he wouldn't have to rebuild from the ground up. He'd end up having the re-lay the wards and that would be a hassle. It could mean he could put up wards against smoke and heat damage though, so it may be a plus.
"I suspect I'll be spending a lot of time at my condo in town while the ranch is put back together." He had been doing it a lot. He came out here to clean up, then headed in. A Mirror would make it a bit easier on him, he supposed.

"That is a suggestion worth considering." She agreed. Court life in one way or another didn't seem too terribly easy to escape. At least the Dragon Court trusted her to have some independence; the fae did, but also begged her to stay every time she visited. With their current cloistered status, her position was rendered immaterial. "Although I may sell it and invest in a different place." Catherine surmised. Izaak had the address and still seemed to see the need to drop by time and again; something that she had always disliked. But with any legal proceedings now mostly over with her ex-spouse, she supposed moving was possible.
Pouring the water over the tea leaves in her cup, she considered things for a minute as she watched the liquid change to a rich golden brown. "I do however still have a question that perhaps you could answer, Tyrus." She said quietly.

Tyrus sipped his tea and listened to her. "Ask away then. I'll do my best." She seemed almost ashamed of this one, or at least uncertain. That was rare. They didn't discuss things like that very often at all. Hopefully he'd have some sort of answer for her. At this point, he didn't know. But he was glad to know she had another reason to come out this far. Whatever it was must be important. It was a long drive from the court to here and it would be a long drive back.

"I'm sure you have at least been made aware of how the Institute handled cases like mine previously...?" Catherine questioned. This was something she didn't want to discuss, but at the same time she knew that Tyrus could keep matters private. Not only that but in some ways in was humiliating to admit that she'd even been in such a place, and subject to its methods. Sighing she strained the tea leaves out and reached for the small pot of honey on the table. Removing a spoonful, she placed it into her tea and stirred slowly. As always her manners were impeccible, hinting at things other than her previous career. "Brandon has apparently suffered similarly due to a previous altercation."
Catherine suspected that Grigore had entered the court with a scorched earth tactic, all in an effort to ensure the transition to the new regime was smooth and without challenges. But with his exile lifted, perhaps something could be done to right a small, but humiliating wrong.
"Is there a way to repair the damage? ... so it isn't what Council or MCU mandates?" Catherine queried.

Tyrus hummed and sipped his tea. "Follow me. I have a book that may have something." He led the way to his office, set his tea on the desk, and pulled on a pair of thin silk gloves before pulling down a thin older book from his shelves. "A gift from my parents. Spells specifically to aid and enhance vampires. It's the most likely choice. I have some books on healing as well that I can check." If there was a solution, he could find it well enough.
He consulted the thin paper in the front where a careful hand had noted each spell in the book, a hand made table of contents. Carefully, he turned the book until it was roughly in the right area and he began to gently turn unnumbered pages.
The entire book was in an older arabic script. It was difficult reading on a good day, but it had been a decent possibility.

Catherine breathed a slight sigh of relief. She had suspected that Tyrus might have a solution, but now it seemed to be hinged upon wether or not he could even read the script contained in the volume. "How thoughtful... but also useful. I'm slightly surprised at their clarity in such matters." She admitted. Bel and Taro had not exactly been individuals she was eager to get to know all things considered. Grigore had been much more kind in the matter if she compared the two.
Glancing around Tyrus's office, it looked to her to be better organized than her's ever had. She was lucky to even be able to find what she wanted on a good day, and that was with minimal interuptions.
