"Beat cops can be pretty great. But this one is...not so much." Molly didn't like being watched when she worked out. she wasn't there to be ogled at, she was there to stay fit and able to do her job. As for Constantin, Molly grinned. If he thought fear and intimidation was going to mess with this team, he was terribly wrong and didn't know what he was getting himself into. Molly knew she could trust her team even when she was scared and had strong memories of them being there for her in their own way many times. They had each other's backs.
"So a sting on Bates? Under the table one too, I assume. We can do that." It wouldn't be hard either. Molly and the twerp would continue their routine as usual, but with Catherine involved for at least part of it. "How do we want to do it?" That would be the tricky bit. Molly doubt the other would suggest a spar. There were other options after all.

Thinking again for a moment, Catherine considered her options, knowing that they would have to go about this delicately. On one hand Grigore was ordering her to ensure that Scotty was being trained, and that would free her from any suspicion from Bates. But then they still had the issue of how exactly to deal with the officer's loose lips. "I really detest privacy issues." She finally said shaking her head. "More than likely he has no idea who the hell I am, which is fine with me. We'll watch him for a few sessions, then decide what to do." Catherine added wanting to more so play this by ear than anything else. The fewer people that knew the better in her opinion.
"I'll get Council to authorize it, and in the mean time you start thinking of what to do with the bastard."

"Right." Molly murmured and considered it. "Why not invite him to 'test' the kid? It's a bit unfair that she only gets to practice wih me after all, given I'm not actually allowed to spar with most of the officers." She was a bit too, well, strong for it. "So I cn frame it as a good test, look around, and invite him over when we make eye contact?" That could work and wouldn't seem too contrived. She had done similar things when she had been allowed to spar with the other officers.
Of course, first they had to have council authorization. "He's human. Theoretically she can lay him out and if not, a quick mental trip from you ought to do it, if you're comfortable with it. I can claim to be taking him to the doctor, now that we have one of those on staff again. Or we will shortly." They had been without for a bit after all. The new one was starting soonish, to her understanding, so it should work out.

Catherine considered it, "That could work... I doubt the kid is going to willingly lay him out, so I bit of subtle augmentation from me is easy enough." She'd just need to be careful with her timing, and make sure that it wasn't much more than a second of delay between Scotty's movements and whatever push she needed to provide.
"The new physician starts I think today or tomorrow. It's not really anything I need to be concerned with. Let's just concentrate on plugging the leak of Bates. Which means, no Warden from you and no Sargent from me. I'll rummage in the kids' head to give her a bit of confusion too."

Oh no. That meant calling the other by something else. Molly hesitated a moment. "So...Dumitrescu or Catherine?" What level of informality were they going with here. she had called the other Catherine before, but usually one when the situation was incredibly informal or, more commonly, she was incredibly out of it. Everyone stuck to last names on the team, for the most part, or titles if it was official work stuff.
At least they had a plan. Though it looked like it would be them working out together with Scotty for a bit before they could enact it. That was going to be interesting. Molly wondered how it would go. she had a feeling sparing was right out, but then again, she could be wrong if they kept it light. Hopefully it wouldn't attract too much attention. There was a reason they had thus far done so when no one else was there.

"McBride, or Catherine. I want him confused." She answered thoughtfully. They didn't have to work any harder, just a little smarter than some half baked fire mage. One who seemed to have a greedy streak based on the limited intel she'd managed to acquire through the notes, threats, and other evidence.
"We'll have to use his... preferences.. for lack of a better word against him." Catherine explained. That meant actually bothering to show up in something other than the favorite worn out over sized shirts and gym shorts or leggings. "As much as I know this bothers you, and it bothers me too."

Molly groaned. "I guess I can dress in less covering clothes. Why are men such idiots?" How did that ploy work so often? Seriously, how? It was one that she had clothes specifically for, given that it worked well. At least she wasn't pretending to be anyone's girlfriend in a strip club as bait. She did have shorter gym clothes, but tended only to wear them when the rest were all in the wash or she was working out in the summer in the heat itself. Otherwise, she was fairly modest, gym shorts and a tank.
This was going to be a pain in the ass. But men were dogs and there was more than one reason she was attracted to wo-holy shit. This was going to be awkward as hell for her, again, wasn't it?
At least it wasn't a strip club.
