Catherine wasn't certain that setting Scotty loose with Molly was the greatest idea, but she had her own hands full enough with repairing the wards she had damaged during the brief scuffle with Griogre, among other things. Though, that didn't stop her from telling Brandon that he would have to find a new shop clerk for the day hours, as Scotty would no longer be able to do it.
Currently, it was 5:00 o'clock in the morning and most of the night shift was just getting off; the day shift staff having not yet trickled in. Standing next to Molly in the Trinity River training facility, Catherine scowled, clearly unhappy herself with the early hour. "Gods above and below Bronson, how the hell are you even awake?" She asked as she sipped her coffee.

Molly grinned wickedly. "Energy drinks ma'am. Energy drinks." She checked her watch. "She better show soon, or I'll have to fetch her. And if I have to fetch her I'm taking her back the nastiest route I know." the woman bounced, pleased. "Besides, I usually do my training at this time, if not earlier." Molly was up at the wee hours. She was all too happily up at the wee hours too, and didn't mind it at all. Molly checked her watch against and frowned. "I know it's her first day, but she better be punctual."
Scotty came rushing in at that point, dressed in jeans and a tee, huffing, hands on her knees. "I'm here! I'm here, sorry. I almost slept in." Had slept in, but had sped like a demon out of hell to get here on time. Probably not the best choice given it was a police facility, but hey, she was here. Molly couldn't complain that she was late at least. Right on time, yes, but not late. Still, she looked exhausted and yawned. "Why are we doing this now?"

"Bloody morning person.." Catherine muttered under her breath as she took another sip of coffee. "And Please... let's not introduce her to that concept of travel yet." She commented as she pulled her jacket closer, wishing she was still in bed asleep. Not even she got up this early, unless she absolutely had to.
Watching Scotty come running across the gym floor, Catherine raised an eyebrow at her excuse. "Then you need to be prepared and leave earlier. Sergeant Bronson's time and mine are valuable things, don't waste them. " She said matter of factly, as she looked at the time on her watch. The girl had nearly been late, and Catherine suspected that this was going to become routine.
She also noticed that the she hadn't come dressed appropriately, despite the repeated reminders that she would need to show up in something other than jeans and flipflops.

Molly eyed the clothes and snorted. "This is going to be hilarious. Next time, you'll want to wear workout clothes. This time, you get to find out why first hand." Molly said simply. "We're going to have two purposes for this little shindig of ours. This first is to get you up to fighting fit, for a dhampir, not for a frightened human teenager, which is how you've been behaving as. The second is so you can stop being blindsided by the Unseen. I bugged Rahal, and Brandon, about you. You aren't integrating." That was a big no no, as far as Molly was concerned. "You need to. You are going to live much longer than a human. Plan. Accordingly."
This was not going to be fun. Whatever this would be at least somewhat of a warm up before her shift.
Scotty scowled at Molly, unimpressed. "I have not been behaving like a scared teen. I spent the first solid decade of my...my time in this world locked up. Why should I care! Why should I integrate?" She didn't think she should damn well have to, given how she had already been treated by these jerks. She hated it in the Unseen and wanted to go back to being a human, just a plain jane human, badly. She knew she couldn't, but she didn't plan on making this easy.

"Because not integrating isn't an option." Catherine said flatly, arms crossed and still appearing to be in a foul mood from the other day. "Cedar Ridge is an exception to this rule, they've been chomping at the bit since I kicked O'Hara's ass a few weeks back." She added, not terribly proud of having done so, but at the same time slightly satisfied that his ass had been handed to him by a female, much less a warden and dhampir. "However, that being said you're going to have to learn to defend yourself or suffer the consequences." Catherine added with a slight shrug.
Asking Rahal and Brandon however was a bit of a low blow, even as far as Catherine was concerned; however Molly was right. The girl refused to integrate and so far was taking advantage of a family that was more than willing to integrate her slowly; but things had definitely stalled. "And Bronson is right, you're going to live a very long time. Like it not, we're related and once that gets out all hell will break loose. Be thankful the courts aren't knocking at your door, demanding you pledge your loyalty."

"What? Why would they be knocking at my door? You're the important one, not me." She didn't understand why they'd annoy her at all. This was ridiculous. "I guess I can see why I have to learn to defend myself, but isn't that what MCU is for? So everyone else doesn't have to do all that?" She didn't want to have to defend herself. They were cops! They were supposed to protect people not make people protect themselves.
"Consider this MCU teaching you how to defend yourself. We can't be everywhere, Scotty. There's not enough of us for that. By the time a case makes it way to our team? Someone is usually dead." They didn't really watch out for the living, until someone among the living was dead. Then they were let loose. "Look. This is an opportunity. A forced one, yes, but an opportunity. If I didn't like your family, I would just hang you out to dry and wait to receive a file with your photo attached and the word deceased in bold. Catherine and I are going to show you what, one day, you will be able to do. You're going to be pushed hard by me, physically and mentally, and e're going to show you what that hard work will achieve. Keep in mind, the level we're going to show you? That's us playing." Molly wasn't going to be gentle on the kid. She was going to get in her face, into her business and make her miserable. Brandon wouldn't. Rahal couldn't. Catherine had no desire to and had nearly washed her hands of the other by the looks of it. So Molly would get the kid up to snuff.
It was probably a good thing Davien had been sent off for training. Then again, she doubted he'd have survived what was coming any better than Scotty was going to.

"Because they think that if they get to you, they'll get me. Honestly? I'd let them take you, and you're of little value to me." Catherine answered bluntly. She was entirely too familiar with that tactic, especially since individuals who were looking to make a statement had used Brandon and Laura as lures in the past. "We are not your personal body guards, we are not here to save your sorry ass from whatever trouble you get yourself into. Do what you will with this training, as I am in no way obligated to do this for you. Sire demands or not." She explained to Scotty. She had washed her hands of the other until she could behave, and really wished someone would knock some sense into the girl. Thankfully Molly had gleefully volunteered to do as such.
Catherine on the other hand still had to handle the political disaster that was likely to happen, and that meant speaking with the Council, the fae, and the Dragon court. Two of the three she really wasn't entirely fond of speaking with; but she supposed that it was that or go into it blindly.
"Let's get this over with Bronson, I have a meeting at 9."

Scotty's eye went wide. That was.. That was no good. The young dhampir went pale enough that Molly cheerfully guided her against the wall. "Stand here. Watch. Don't move. We don't actually want you to get hurt." The warden had a lot on her plate. She'd want to clean up afterwards, and besides this was only playing. "And keep in mind, this is a demo, and we will be going slow for us, and playing very nicely." Playing nice was relative. Molly moved back toward Catherine and settled in a ready stance. "No powers, no magic, as agreed earlier." She stated simply.
This was going to be fun, and she could already feel her battle lust rise. Not now though. This was a civilized fight. A play fight, for the benefit of a very foolish child. Even if fighting Catherine nearly all out was fun, they never did that anymore, for good reason.

"I'll play by the rules if you will." Catherine commented. Molly had had to do a lot of pleading and begging to even get her to agree to this, especially considering the results on the last time they had done this. They had started off with the same agreed upon rules, but it hadn't taken long for Molly to break them, leaving Catherine with no choice but to follow as a means of defending herself.
"Remember, we're not having a repeat of last time." She added as she shrugged off the lightweight jacket she'd worn over her own workout gear. A pair of leggings with thin soled sneakers, and a loose fitting tank over a sports bra; pretty normal clothing for most women at the gym. Except, this wasn't exactly a normal gym or training facility.
Trinity River did most of MCU's training and continuing education for it's local officers after they had left the academy in Detroit and received their assignment.

"I've gotten much better at maintaining control." She said cheerfully. She had to. But she had also been emphasizing this was a play fight mostly for her own reminder. She didn't need to risk losing control or the warden would put her down hard and she knew it. She bounced on her feet, not bothering to make herself be still. she was about to get a decent fight, even if it was just a play fight, just a game. It was a game and she was going to have fun playing it. It was a learning game, for her and for the kid. If she kept telling herself that, hopefully she wouldn't lose control. The warden would never agree to anything again if she did. Molly glanced at the clock form the corner of her eye, noting the time.
"On the count of three. One. Two. Three." At three, she launched herself forward, aiming to close the gap with an uppercut.

Catherine was skeptical as she listened to Molly boast about being better able to control herself, as it had yet to be seen by her. She supposed that this was at least as good as any time to see exactly how well the other fared in keeping her head cool in a fight. Catherine just wasn't normally one to pick a fight or go looking for them; but she would gladly finish them if it was brought to her.
"That was more like two Bronson!" Catherine protested as she put up her arms to block the uppercut.

"I said three!" The uppercut was successfully blocked and Molly bounced back, slightly, then tried a roundhouse, hoping to get through to Catherine before the other reacted. The only real way for her to defeat Catherine would be to keep her on the defense the entire time. Even holding out against the other for long required a strong offense and stronger defense.
She kept her guard up as she kicked, not wanting to be caught defenseless herself.

"Two.. three.. there's really no difference with you." Catherine complained as she ducked underneath the kick. The other woman seemed intent on keeping this sort of offensive pattern up the rest of the session, and more than likely wouldn't appreciate any blows Catherine managed to get in.
In the meantime however, while Molly was off balance, Catherine took the opportunity to sweep the leg still on the mats out from under her.

The leg sweep got her, and Molly rolled out of Catherine's reach springing back up quickly. "See. That's because if I give you a chance, my ass gets thoroughly kicked." Guard up again, she stayed low, keeping her center of gravity lower than normal so a leg sweep wouldn't work again. Molly knew well the difference in power levels between her and Catherine and cheerfully did whatever it took to even the playing field.
Against the wall, Scotty watched, eyes wide. They were fast. This was playing!

Catherine just rolled her eyes again. "Your ass is going to get kicked anyway." She remarked as she tried to think a few moves ahead. Molly was a reasonbly formidable opponent, but Catherine found her sloppy when it came to actually executing certain skill sets.
It was easier to stay on the defensive verses the offensive, as Catherine didn't have Molly's penchant for fighting. But, she still had a few tricks that were demonstrated by her lunging towards Molly, intent on excuting a series of quick moves to hit the other's solar plexus and lower ribs. Normally Catherine would have aimed for the head, but was still fighting the complaint of abuse of force with the Cedar Ridge pack.
