Sprinkles gave a thumbs up to Rei with a warble of amusement. She had no idea what hamburgers tasted like but they looked like fruit. She put the small round cleaning droid on the ground her fingers ejecting a thin gossamer strand across a small crack in its circuit board where leads were as Sprinkles did what she could to temporarily repair the small droid. The iridescent webbing dried to thin power cabling and circuit leads where once a bolt left a small impact fracture. A voltage regulator's support hardware broken.
It lit up making some digital signal Sprinkles couldn't discern and she put it on the ground and stepped over it. The droid spun once warmed up its small plasma sanitizer, stopped realizing it was outside, then turned toward Sprinkles. Satisfied by the activity it was making in EM sprinkles clapped her hands and pet the small device. The little servant would be okay it had a small regenerative battery and multi-junction solar panel too specialized for much else. It would run At least for an hour. Maybe some spare parts were along the way but she had no tools. No telling if it had a bypass to fix itself or not.
A different dirt message appeared by the robot, "Toothpaste! No inorganic bleach. Stomach kills organic compounds. Usually okay to eat things."

Rei looked at the message in the dirt in confusion as she tilted her head slightly to the side and squinted, as if that would make the answer any clearer. "Okay.. so you want to eat the toothpaste or you don't? I'm confused here." She stated rubbing her forehead in exasperation. Communicating with the Gardener normally wasn't so difficult, but then again in previous times none of them had been so beaten and battered that they couldn't see straight.
With the oppressive jungle heat bearing down, Rei was starting to feel even more exhausted. Endorphins and adrenaline had kept her going up until now, and in what they seemed to be the relative safety of the junk yard, she was beginning to crash.

Cassie started to say something, then grabbed her head and winced. "W-why are we discussing toothpaste?" She looked around then frowned. She had been...she could remember it. Sprinkles needed flouride? flourite? Cassie had...oh. "Sorry, I think I glitched. I need to run diagnostics, but don't have the processing power." She wrinkled her nose at the aschen ship. She recognized the general build, if not the model. Each culture had a fairly distinct appearance for their ships after all. "And why are we near an aschen ship? No one wants me to connect to that, do they? Those things have serious viruses."
She wasn't about to connect to an aschen ship. It took her a moment to place everyone. The giant bug was Sprinkles. Sprinkles...sprinkles had helped her out of her room, right? Maybe.
The one in the uniform was...was... Cassie didn't actually remember. The aschen ship belonged to her, right?
There had been another person. He had left? The pirate wasn't sure. And that meant the last one was Rei. Rei was the one with the interesting hair. Right. She made her commit the names and faces to memory. She would remember. She couldn't glitch again. "Some foodwould be nice. It may stop more glitching?"

Marlene quietly gestured towards her ship. "Well?" She said, before she began to move towards it. "We got food, medical supplies, hot showers." She said flatly. "

"We'll go, as long as you don't pull anything funny." Rei said to Marlene, still finding herself wary of anything the woman suggested or had to say. While she had managed to assist in getting them all out of the Cenote, Rei had few doubts that they would have managed on their own. The Aschen woman just ensured that it happened quicker and perhaps with fewer fatalities and injuries.
Turning back to Cassie, she frowned. "It may help all of us." She agreed with the smaller pink haired woman. Rei just hoped that the price wasn't too high to pay, they'd already paid a rather high one loosing Bezhad down in the Cenote. That alone would more than likely haunt Rei's dreams for the next however long, only adding fuel to the nightmares that came each night. Most days it left her exhausted, but able to function, and other days there was no getting around how little sleep she'd had.

Sprinkles looked to Rei for approval though while not the kind of telepath to read her thoughts certainly noted the trepidation. Similar opinions of the Ashen arose from Nemesis with Her growing network of mercenary housing. Children of the matriarchy reported often and quite frequent about their problematic interactions to Nemesis. Thereby few were the Gardeners that worked for them knowingly given the Matriarch's eventual disapproval. After several missions resulted in the needless expenditure of their children the Matriarchy outright banned them from contracts. That list was particularly short and easy to memorize.
If the Ashen had food Sprinkles opted to follow Rei. Long term a heart low would enlarge the others then they would start to fail. It had to be done as she could already feel the heat pressing on her lungs. Blood pressing too high without the plumbing connected correctly. The other two in the small cabal of matriarchs were in no better shape. The newest was what the Gardeners would depict bound by the throng of those that had too many of their orthodox killed at once. Rei was awake too long as was she but she handled it better though her telekinetic could do little but draw letters now. Mental muscles slowing down.
She picked up the disc of cleaning robot and hugged it to her chest with the clasps and gave Rei a thumbs up with both hands. The small robot promptly went into hibernation.

"Right, okay. But I'm not hooking into anything." She was more than a little paranoid on that measure. The woman followed Rei and Sprinkles onto the ship, not wanting to be the first one aboard any Aschen vessel. "I am hungry. Some good food would help." Food in the prison hadn't exactly been edible, when it was even remembered. She doubted she had been fed three meals a day, not that there had been a good way of keeping time. Besides, the appeal of getting clean was definitely real, even if she had serious doubts.
This aschen seemed...hospitable enough. Or at least not currently murderous which was a good thing, given Cassie's usual experience with Aschen. Then again, people tended to act differently than normal when you were a pirate actively in the middle of robbing them. More stabby or panicky for most people, and Cassie had the scars to prove it. "A brief rest would be nice as well, assuming we don't end up tracked here or something." She really hoped that they weren't. She didn't want to even imagine how bad that was going to be.

Since they had committed to boarding Marlene's ship; she set everything into motion, leading them through the mounds of twisted metal, trash, and junk until they were right underneath the Aschen cruiser. "Alright, open the grav lift." She called into her comm node, and the ship above them groaned, as metallic doors slid open above them, and a purple column of light appeared before them.
Marlene was the first to step inside, and slowly her feet lifted off the ground, before she was pulled along the column of light, into the belly of the ship.
Once inside, the dimly lit, sleek black surroundings seemed to pop out, Marlene's executive officer, a middle aged man wearing all black was there to greet them.
Aschen personnel went about their daily business inside the bay, from the flash of welders, to the clamor of tools, the main cargo bay was abuzz with activity; they had to repair the ship somehow.
The shrill hum of a light-mass fabricator followed, a flash of blue light followed the hum, and a panel was materialized from light right before their eyes, before it was carried off to be used in repairs.
"These people are my guests." Marlene said, casting a sidelong glance at the Gardiner. "Ensure their needs... however alien... are met." Marlene ordered.

Rei was silent as the lift took them into the ship, and even though she as exhausted as she was, she still felt the need to be cautious. "We will leave as soon as we are able. I'm sure that you would appreciate being left to your repairs and to return back home." She finally said, speaking above the gulf of silence that seemed to threaten to envelope their party.
While Rei was appreciative of the fact that they might have supplies to spare, and a place for them to lay their heads however briefly, she couldn't help but to wonder if there would be a cost to this uncharacteristic kindness. She had never known the Aschen to be terribly prone to acts of kindness or charity, it seemed to be a value that had largely been lost to their culture sometime ago.

Sprinkles walked up behind Rei looking about at the activity. The floor was metal and way too hard after kneeling to poke at it with her finger. Curious if her small companion was still working she set down the small cleaning droid. It buzzed once at being righted then started up once more. The small metal disk fired up its sterilizer and brushes turning to head to the wall. Not her intention to leave the little one here she quickly huddled after it. Two clasp arms reached down, stuck to the hull, then picked it up again and held it to her chest.
Unable to speak or scratch notes Sprinkles opted to mime. The small grey fluorinated mushrooms came from her dirty knapsack showing a labeling of an organ harvesting bag. Extracting one she pointed at it then to her mouth. Mouthparts thumping at each other to indicate eating. Sprinkles had no idea how to indicate what she needed in food but hoped it at least wouldn't make her nauseated.

Cassie wasn't too thrilled to be here, but at least they were safe from now. Still, there were an awful lot of Aschen here, and she did not want to deal with them. "Sprinkles is right. Food first, I think. She needs something with flourite in it. I can eat most aschen foods." They were compatible with her, even if she wasn't really all that sold on them. She was hungry, and a little tired, but she didn't think she could rest here. Cassie was pretty sure their host was wearing an IIA uniform. The pink haired woman was a pirate. This place was not exactly pirate friendly.
She rubbed her head, uncertainly. "Then supplies, maybe?" Cassie was just the pilot, though now the navigator, she supposed. She looked towards Rei, who was apparently her captain now. That chafed a little, but she doubted her old captain had made it out alive. She'd be checking the news for anything on he old crew once they were away from here. She just had to remember.

Marlene cast a glance over to some crates of A-brite, a cleaner used the clean, and brighten the panels of the ship's hull. "That metal brightener has Hydrogen Fluoride in it, I wouldn't go near it, though." Marlene commented, looking back to the alien before her. "So it needs fluorite? Maybe fluorine toothpaste or something?"
"The mess hall is this way." She said, gesturing for them to follow her, through the corridors of the ship.
Once outside the cargo bay, they would be greeted by a man that seemed to tower over them, and at least seven foot tall, and weighing four hundred pounds of rippling muscle mass. The whispy fumes from his Fumerello filled the cooridor as he tried to move past Marlene. "Look what the cat dragged in..." He said in a thick drawl.
"Hush, Khaine." Marlene quipped back, at the Adept turned IIA Agent. "See if you can help engineering lock down that bad gimbal again; I think we knocked it loose in the fight." She said, casting Rei a dirty look.

Harkov wasn't exactly a slouch when it came to height, but the adept was significantly taller. 'Looks like the Aschen invented mirac-u-grow.' She thought to herself with little amusement. They wouldn't be in this situation if Marlene hadn't stuck her nose where it didn't belong. It was because of the other woman that she had been forced to initiate emergency procedures that weren't always a guarantee of success. Instead of drifting long enough for the lighthugger's manufactories to repair the damage, she'd been cruelly pulled out of stasis, injected with more sedatives and thrown in a cell to be forgotten about. Rei wasn't going to dispute that on some level she didn't deserve it, but she would have much preferred not to happen.
"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." The blue haired woman spoke with a shrug, not specifying whom exactly had been the idiot. As she spoke, few syllables were slurred, her mouth still a painful mess of broken teeth and jaw. She would likely be slurring them for awhile to come, as the process of knitting everything back together took some time.
But for now they were stuck with the IIA Agent turned rescuer, much to the conceived greater annoyance of the three. At that moment, they weren't thinking of anything other than just getting off the hell hole planet and nothing else, except maybe food.

Sprinkles pointed at Marlene and lowered the cleaning droid clasped to her chest. One hand seesawed while the other gave a thumbs up. Toothpaste would work, even if it tastes disgusting, still she needed vegetable protein. The droid moved down a bit she pointed to the pale diamond shaped cut in her carapace. Flesh there clung together in tenuous patchwork over weak blood vessels. All pulsing milky fluid in loops instead of through the missing heart. Though the thought of better communication options raises her antennae. Someone in the ship might be able to read a simple text RF less exhausting than Quietus.
A small text message broadcast on the lower radio frequencies, "Does anyone receive? I am tired of miming."
Lacking a need to stare at transmitters when talking Sprinkles followed Rei's gaze. Immediate and similar opinions presented themselves but sprinkles about the adept. Though she had at least learned some social niceties. Enough that pointing toward the hulking Khaine refrained adding a generous air dimension. Instead nodding and giving a thumbs up.
It must be their kind to a high soldier she figured. The Gardener high soldiers were proportionate as him to the other laborers here. A huff of hot air her shoulders slumped thinking it unfortunate she didn't trust the ashen. Though that was more her mistaken assessment of their 'high soldier'. That they had another particular function that the high soldiers did.

"Oh woah!" Cassie looked around then looked right at Sprinkles. She had plenty of hardware in her head and in her body, enough that she was definitely not entirely biological now. Still, she recognized what just happened. She had received a signal, and not on a wire like she would expect from a ship. She rubbed her throbbing head and squinted at the other, then, hesitating, sent out a very uncertain ping. "Sprinkles, was that you?" She almost never used her RF frequencies outside of swarm fights. Using them now was a shocker. It had to be Sprinkles though, right?
She moved closer to Sprinkles curiously, keeping going towards the mess hall. She was starving, and unlike everyone else in the group, it seemed, she healed at normal speed and not at augmented speed. That had definitely not been augmented. She had plenty of mental augments though. She watched Sprinkle curiously, even as she avoided the tall strangers as much as she could given she was following one of them. She was starving though. Uncertain she rubbed her head and stumbled slightly. Her head. This was terrible.
She needed to get her memory banks. Thinking was so hard. "I'm hungry..." She murmured, uncertain. The mess hall. They were heading to the mess hall now, right? She had been saying something hadn't she? Something to Sprinkles?
