Demon Gate: Rise of the Dead (IC/open)

Eliya laid in bed sleeping. It was still dark out, probably two hours before dawn. Something lit up outside and shined through the window onto her face. More and more it kept getting louder outside. People were screaming. There was a bang on her front door. The bang woke Eliya up. 

She wondered what was going on. Outside, she saw people running around and a couple houses burning. A mage fended off someone with a slouching gait. "Are we under attack by a foreign nation or by a band of raiders?" Eliya mumbled while rubbing her eyes. She got up and got ready. It seemed as if she wasn't taking the events too seriously. 

After washing, she put on a black bikini like outfit with black gauntlets and thigh high boots and a plain black choker. She then pulled over a white dress and a black overdress. In that moment, someone banged on the door and then knocked it down. Two men, seeking to loot the place amid the chaos broke in. "Aww, shit. There is still someone here!" One of the men said. The other man said: "It is just a girl. She wont do anything anyways."

"Girl?" Eliya said. "I was getting ready and haven't even done my hair and you just break in and call me a girl? It is flattering that you think I am that young. But I will have to ask you out. If you refuse, I will have to force you out. See what the police have to say." 

"Police? They are either dead or too busy saving their own hides." One of the men said. Eliya then replied: "From what?" "The undead! They have overrun the eastern part of the city!" The man said. 

"In that case..." Eliya said. "I will have to ask you to leave or I will force you out, no matter living or as a corpse." "You? You look more like you can maybe kill a small animal at most." The men laughed. Eliya revealed the clawed part of her right gauntlet and punched through her wooden table, picked it up and threw it at the men. "OUT!" Eliya yelled. The men then realized that she was the real deal and ran. 

Eliya did her hair grabbed a "bottomless bag" and packed up as much of her stuff as she could. It was probably time to leave the city and come back when it is safe again. 

She got outside and saw what they were talking about. There were zombies everywhere. They were either chasing people or killing them. One zombie approached her intending to chomp down, but Eliya grabbed his face and knocked him over. It didn't really do much as the zombie just got back up and attacked again.

She noticed zombies eating a corpse near her. "Eating humans, orcs and elves is supposed to be our thing." She said to the zombie. "Now if you are undead, what is the best way to kill you? Probably burning, but I am not very good with fire magic, so I guess I must make sure you cant move or at least can't move very well. So either tear off your limbs or destroy your head so you cant see or hear." She readied her claw, "I think I will go for your head as it is faster."

Eliya basically stabbed through the zombies face with her hand and it came out the back. It seemed to have killed the zombie as it didn't get back up.

She began walking towards the outskirts of the city, but heard someone screaming for help. At first, Eliya thought they were done for anyways, but then realized it was an entire family trapped in a burning building surrounded by zombies. Eliya groaned and dashed towards where the calls were coming from. She knocked zombies out of the way and smashed through the door of the burning building. Inside the building were a mother, a father, three children and an old lady. Eliya picked up the old lady and told the family to follow her out of the building. 

Outside, she put down the old lady and made sure everyone made it out. Now there were just zombies to take care of. She couldn't just slash through them with her hands like a wild beast, especially with people around. So it was time for transformation magic. Eliya focused her magic in her arm and her arm transformed into a gunblade. The way her fingers bent back after her hand split in half to reveal the gun barrel, looked like it would normally break bones. But transformation magic was complex, it basically was either a dimensional shift with organic parts remaining intact and just making room for additional parts or it would temporarily put them in a dimensional pocket while replacing them with machinery.

Eliya used the blade to slash through the zombies and the gun to shoot them in the head. After clearing eight zombies, the family was able to flee to safety, possibly. Eliya decided to leave her arm transformed, just in case. Her right eye lit up and her pupil focussed like a camera lens, seemingly also from transformation magic. All to quickly respond and defeat any threats on her way to the outskirts.

[Zaria]

Vein Brightdawn trained as usual, early in the morning.
His trainer happened to be an old warrior from the city, that just luckily was in the mood for sparing, after a drink had been proposed.

Bright... had his ass kicked in short span of time. Not to mention it wasn't once, but three times the old man wiped the floor with him.

After the third time he just lied on the ground, beat up, and tired.
"That is... tougher than I thought."

"Being warrior is tough." He heard.

"Now get up kiddo, before I change my mind about our deal."

Bright slowly got up, tired, but... determined to continue he raised his blade... but they never got to continue the ragtag kind of a training.
They heard screams, and while the old man became grim, Bright wondered what is going on.

Eliya could still hear screams but in her path were mostly just corpses. Sometimes someone would run past her. Occasionally a zombie would cross her path to which she had to either shoot its head or crush its head somehow. But there were other enemies. Enemies that took advantage of the situation such as necromancers, murderers, rapists and thieves, all undeserving of life in Eliya's eyes.

Half way to the gate, an actual necromancer stood in the way. "Finally out time has come. We don't have to hide anymore. We can now command the dead!" The necromancer said.

"Whether you are the cause of this or not, I cannot let you cause more trouble." Eliya said. The necromancer attacked without hesitation. Eliya dodged and shot at him, killing him instantly. "What an amateur!" Eliya said. She then continued toward the gate in the distance.

[Zaria]

"Changed my mind kid. We've got trouble." Old man started "Get everyone to safety. I'll slow them down."
He said, and slowly, without an armor, went towards the source of screams.

Bright didn't like it, he wanted to help him. But it was obvious the only answer he'd get is... no.

So frustrated he went into a different direction, trying to find out where's the safest place in the city, and direct people there.


All while... on the other side of the city, with the horde moved an old Lich, in a fould mood to top it all.

That necromancer who blew up from her shot was likely that weak, because necromancers would generally have a hard time practicing their craft in a world that outlawed it. She didn't have time to run into zombies or necromancers every ten seconds. Eliya used her transformation magic to enhance her legs, harden her skin and enhance her though processing. Now she could move faster and every time she ran into a zombie, it would feel as if time slowed so she could quickly deal with them. The downsides were that her skin shined like plastic or latex and she became colder or less empathetic, a little like a machine.

So Eliya began dashing through the city. A zombie appeared. Eliya's eyes moved quickly and kept refocussing. "Attack points registered." She said and sliced up the zombie.

Soon Eliya arrived at the gate. The gate was closed. Helpless people crowded again the gate begging to be let out, while guards behind the gate pointed their weapons at them. Eliya pushed herself forward to the gate. "Open the gate and let these people flee!" She said. The guard then said: "We cannot let the undead through." "Do these people look undead to you? Are you going to be a coward and basically send these people to their deaths?" Eliya said.

"Shut up before I execute you for aiding the undead." The guard said and then shot in her direction. The shot grazed Eliya's cheek. Eliya had enough. She turned her arm into a glowing saber and began to jump up the city wall. She was going to save these people, even if it mean murdering city guards. The guards showed a lot of resistance, but Eliya made her way through each and every one of the ones who attacked her. "Cowards. All should die." Eliya mumbled under her breath as she swiftly decapitated attacking guards. She finally made it to the other side of the gate and slice the last guard in two.

Once she opened the gate, the people stormed out. Some even thanking Eliya.

[Zaria]

Bright went forward, putting down all the zombies, that stood in his way. All while ocassionaly he'd stumble upon survivors, those were guided by him. Those who sadly were infected, were painlessly put out of their terrible destiny.

Still he didn't like it, and wanted to... find a way to prevent it, little did he know at that time, that he had one.

Time passed, and finally he reached the gate with the survivors, gate that happened to be already open - though he expected it to be closed. It's good that the guardsmen weren't that bad after all...
He never saw the bodies of the ones that fallen, after they refused to open the gates, instead he had other things to worry about. Like a horde slowly catching up from behind.

Lich on the other hand slowly killed those who were stuck between the horde, and the gate, unable to escape. She took no pleasure in it, she simply... did it.

[aniihya]

Eliya felt a presence behind her. She felt like she needed to turn back and help anyone in peril. But then something struck her from the side, sending her flying into a wall.

Once she got back up, Eliya noticed a large undead troll with a tree-sized club in it's hand. Something this challenging made her heart race. It almost felt like home. She picked up a rock and hurled it at the troll. The rock hit the trolls head and broke but the troll was still standing. The troll swung its club at Eliya. She dodged and the troll ended up destroying an already heavily damaged house.

Eliya's arm transformed again and she hailed the troll with shots. While the shots seemingly didn't do much damage, they pushed the troll back a little. A charged shot would probably not do much more damaged and a complete transformation came with its risks. So Eliya saw no other choice than to use dark magic. She transformed her arm into a sword and infused it with dark magic. The usage of the dark magic made her black curled demon horns appear and a black spiked tail appeared at the bottom of her skirt. Her black sword was visibly surrounded by a dark magical force. It basically darkened everything around it.

Eliya lunged at the troll, dodging another attack and then clean slicing its arm off. The area around the wound was instantly cauterized and black veins spread from the wound. Eliya circled around and then decapitated the troll, then splitting the head in two midair.

The use of the dark magic made her hungry for human or elf flesh. She didn't want to, but she probably had to. Eliya then snuck away to find an unturned cadaver to eat from. In some ruins, she found a dead person who hadn't turned into a zombie and began to eat. Not long after, she wiped her mouth off and her horns and tail disappeared. She was still mostly covered in blood from killing zombies and guards though. She then began walking towards a magical presence in the distance.

[Zaria]

Bright continued to focus on leading the survivors to the safety, to where the gate was, and did his best to keep away the undead, the infected. It was easy, most of the time, and there were some adventurers that helped him as well. But then... he saw his teacher... walking slowly, with the same glint in the eye all infected had.

"No..." He started, and then saw how one of the adventurers rushed towards what once was his teacher. Adventurer aimed from above to slash it in half, but it never connected witha flesh, instead... with a blade.

"Wha-" Bulky adventurer managed to say, before he was cut down.

All while the magical presence, the "Corrupted" slowly moved forward, she only stopped twice... to touch the still bodies, that quickly began to move afterwards. Then the corpses, and her... kept on walking like a swarm through the city, towards the gate, that had been the last chance of those who yet live - all while killing the living on the way.

(Ahh, sorry, will try to make it better next day, now it's somewhat rushed due to fact I'm busy with few things)

There was a horde approaching. There were barely any people left to fight it as most had fled. Eliya took off her dress as it would only be a disadvantage at this point. She stood there with her black armored boots, gauntlets and bikini like outfit. She looked like she could be a succubus or demon especially because of the bikini, choker and dark armor. Or at least as if she was an assassin or battlemage. She packed her dress into the bottomless bag.

Eliya got ready to tackled the horde the best she could. She dashed forward and dug the claws of her gauntlets into the chest of a zombie and tore it in two. Immediately, she jumped to the next and twisted its head off mid-air and hurled the head towards the lich in the distance, trying to provoke her. As the zombies began to swarm her, she thought: "I can do this faster." And used transformation magic to grow a second set of mechanical arms that became gunblades. Two times the arms meant twice the fun and twice the progress. But at this number of zombies, she wouldn't be able to do this alone. It would probably take forever.

[Zaria]

Lich slowly approached the gate, where all, that still lived tried to get to. She didn't care what would happen, she lost the reason to care long ago... but what happened in the front piqued her interest - someone opposed the army of the undead, a demon fought with all the strenght she had.
Still... why would the Corrupted care? Why would she tackle the demon, that soon will fall like everything else... in front of the death.

All while the battle unfolded, the death slowly moved forward, and living tried to escape it. One foolish man battled his teacher, unable to win, yet he still saw the demon fighting an army.
Why though? Why is she fighting them? Why help the living? - he couldn't understand it with his simple mind, but it was obvious... to those who were more intelligent.

More adventurers joined in, led by an archmage, with his help... they slowly began to push back the horde of the undead. Much to the surprise of the corrupted one.

Fighting through the horde, Eliya noticed more people were joining in and helping push the horde back. The lich however hadn't reacted to Eliya's provocation and continued to not pay attention to her. It pissed Eliya off. Eliya's kills became more brutal and she began to carve a path through the horde towards the lich. "Hey! Don't ignore me!" She yelled as she fought her way through to the lich.

Soon, Eliya was at the lich and slapped her in the face from the side. "Look at me cunt!" Eliya yelled at the lich. "I don't care if you are undead or not or whether your sole purpose is to kill. I will not be ignored like that! Even if you weren't the source of this chaos. I wont let you kill anymore people. I loved this city and it became my home and you just come and destroy it."

Eliya then grabbed the lich by her hair and said into her ear: "If you continue to be disrespectful, I will make sure you have no quick departure from this world. I will make you my bitch."

[Zaria]

Bright had been pushed back, only to see adventurers join into the fray, push back the old man, and then... archmage burned him to a crisp. It was a sad sight, nonetheless unavoidable. Still, just for a moment, he lowered his head, and prayed to the sisters for the man's soul, that he strangely just met, yet got attached.
Afterwards came the time to push further, with sword, and his strange magic that he couldn't comprehend, magic that he could imbue his sword with to easily cut through the undead - a fact, that did not go unnoticed by the archmage.

Worthless, all life is worthless when she thinks about it, they are but a glimmer of... hope trying to stay up amidst the fiery wind. Worthless... or so she thought, until they pushed back, but she still didn't bother to intervene - they would fall anyway. Then the demon came. She rushed through the horde,red eyed and lost in anger. She even yelled at the Corrupted. How... amusing. But then something unexpected happened.

Demon managed to reach her, and slapped her in the face from the side.

"Look at me cunt!" Demon yelled at the lich. "I don't care if you are undead or not or whether your sole purpose is to kill. I will not be ignored like that! Even if you weren't the source of this chaos. I wont let you kill anymore people. I loved this city and it became my home and you just come and destroy it."

Then...

She grabbed her by the hair, and whispered into still confused, and taken by surprise Lich:

"If you continue to be disrespectful, I will make sure you have no quick departure from this world. I will make you my bitch."

After this words she slowly, but surely recovered, all while cold wind gathered around her, Lich spoke:

"You can try mortal. I do not... care." with these words, she pushed Demon away, forcing it to hit one of the useless corpses... undead.

[aniihya]

After being pushed back into a zombie, Eliya slashed the zombie. "You can try mortal. I do not... care." The lich said. Eliya then countered with: "If you do not care, why do you resist? If you wouldn't be killing people, I wouldn't have a reason to oppose you in order to protect the people. Even as someone from another realm, I feel at home with the people of this city and wish to protect them from fiends like you. Like I said, I am giving you the option to stop. If you don't, I will dominate you demon-style and make you my servant and as a lord I wont let you go that easily."

[Zaria]

Lich chuckled at the words of a demon. Demon, that wasted time on protecting weak sack of bones.

Resist? - Lich thought - Such a funny word, coming from a mouth of the resisting one, someone who tries to prevent the nature from doing it’s part.

“You cannot stop me mortal, for this is… what awaits all, that lives. You’ll never dominate me, but I’ll make you my eternal slave.”

Once the Lich finished, horde stopped it’s advance, instead all turned to the demon.


“Now, be so kind, and die.” Soon the undead tried to bite, grab, slash, or smash Eliya with whatever weapons the had.

In the meantime, that was just the thing the adventurers needed, just what the archmage needed to focus on larger kind of spell - one that would eliminate most if not all of the undead.
All while the young kid would make a mistake of rushing head on into the fray, slashing the undead with ease - using his strange magic, and the latter caught the attention of the Lich. Magic that made the Lich... feel fear for the first time in a thousand years. - Luckily for the Lich, Bright still had a long way to go, and many of the undead to defeat, while tiredness grew with each move.

The lich gave Eliya no choice as she sent all the zombies at her. Eliya exhaled as her two extra arms disappeared and her eyes turned, even glowed a deep red. Her black horns and tail appeared, even her teeth because more like fangs. She grabbed into the bottomless bag and pulled out a black greatsword.

An aura surrounded her as she took a swing, defeating probably twenty zombies with a single swing. She looked at the lich and grinned, but it was more of a sinister smile. "Eternal slave? I'd rather drag you back to the demon realm instead." Eliya said. Eliya began to carve her way through the zombies again.

She felt the magic of a young adventurer. "Interesting. It seems another person could be trouble for you as well." She said.
