Kasimir ducked for cover and Tyrus went to work. He had expected this after all. Centering himself, grounding himself against the magic, against the psionics waves, Tyrus bled magic out of the storm and away from her. Channeling it to the array of stones he had left out, he continued until they were unable to handle more, cracking and bursting as they gave up one after another.
"Catherine! Control yourself. I know you know how." He ordered, redirecting the magic constantly, attention on making certain this caused as little damage as possible. He couldn't stop everything, but he could limit it as much as possible. When the last of the stones broke, he swore vividly and began to pull from the magic, transfiguring whatever he could of the stone remnants with the excess magic, channeling it into use with the form he himself had most been familiar with. This at least his magic had experience with and it guided hers into forms familiar to it.
It would start to look entirely too much like it did when he was drunk and as the chocolate milk began to rain down, he despaired. How much more magic was going to be released? He knew she was the more powerful one, but she had to find control at some point. Hesitating a moment, he slowly walked closer, battered by the magic, grounding himself with her magic tamed by his. She was the well, he knew. But he could control this flow. He had to.

Catherine could no more help the circumstances of her birth than she could currently control the font of magic currently holding her captive. Pulled into the undertow of the wellspring's current, she was tossed about like a toy ship. It had not been a river that the Council had been worried about, it had been an ocean that they had so naively tried to hold back. Kasimir setting the spell in motion had been like lighting the fuse to a bomb, often forgetting what might happen once lit.
The secondary binding, tattooed behind her ear that occupied space across the temporal and occipital bones, was now largely gone. Either this relieved much of the pain, or she had managed to begin to find her way through the swirling fast moving primordial currents of the veil. While Tyrus was right, that she knew how to control herself, she had only once ever had this much raw power at her disposal and so easily within reach. Now the fight against herself began as her mind embolded with the magic, pulled every painful memory out for show in excruciating detail. How she had been treated as a child before the fae, how each misstep and mistake had cost her, and how much she harm she had caused with the magic.
June's words of caution and advice had been well founded, as subduing Catherine's magic was no easy feat for anyone; Tyrus included. But with his help, she was beginning to gain ground and the risk of loosing herself in an state of defense against the stressors placed on her so readily. But, there was still a long way to go before total control was to be had. The magic, although still a tool, seemed to still be out of control and difficult to manage. As sparks flew, and the atmosphere of the room began to warp, Catherine slowly but surely gained agonizing ground over agonizing piece of ground. Tyrus had gotten through, someway, somehow to the center of the storm.
"Cé nach bhfuil aon ghníomh níos láidre ná bláth, Ach tosaíonn básmhaireacht brónach a gcumhacht!" Catherine exclaimed, her voice eccoing across the Council chambers. Her words still made no sense but they were no longer the jumbled up gibberish that they had been initially. She knew that she must face her fear and gain control, but it frightened her in ways that little else did. No one person was meant to have that much power at their fingertips, and why whatever gods were out there allowed it she did not know. All she knew was that to retreat would mean safety for her and for others. This meant retreating to a space in her mind, a haven that was full of happy memories in the warmth and sun of Tatianna's rose garden.
The chaos and destruction was quickly replaced by the Council chambers slowly warping bit by bit into a replication of the Seelie Queen's own private gardens; a place few mortals or immortals had ever been priviledged to see. Rose petals were carried in on a gentle wind, shimmering, and leaving the delicate scent of roses in their wake.
"Stad, gan níos mó! Toradh mé, mé toradh! Taispeáin trócaire! Lig dúinn déileáil!" She screamed, as if speaking to the magic itself before collasping in exhaustion.

"Just like that." He encouraged and came closer. "Create not destroy." And she had done one hell of a job too. Everything down to the scent reminded him of a garden. As soon as she collapsed, he slammed any remaining magic in the air into the ground and dove to catch her before her head hit the ground. It had worked. She had redirected and gained control over her magic. Now he just had to teach her to maintain that control, even when impaired. He smiled down at her. "You did a great job Catherine. It's a beautiful garden."
Incredibly realistic. He was actually pretty certain she had turned the council chambers into a garden in its entirety. That was more than a bit impressive. Also, mildly concerning but impressive. He had heard the terror in her voice at the end though and he hoped desperately to help her learn to accept her magic.
Kasimir came out of hiding and looked the room over in disbelief. "And you're certain you can prevent that? You're certain you can train her from destruction?" On seeing the power unleashed all he wanted to do was bind it up again. Watching Tyrus walk into the heart of the tornado had been terrifying. The fact that the mage had withstood it made Kasimir rather want him bound just as much. It had been all he had been able to do to stay out of the way.
Tyrus smiled at Kasimir, assured. "She controlled the magic herself. She can redirect it when insensate from pain. I can teach her to redirect the magic when she's about to lose control automatically, reflexively. She's already well on the way." This incident had reassured him of that. When called out to, she had been able to find her footing. Not quickly, but she had found it and then acted decisively. He was confident that it would be okay.

"Toradh mé, mé toradh..." She muttered, eyes unfocused and unseeing. Clearly there was still something going on, but it would bring no harm to Tyrus or the Council. It seemed that perhaps Catherine for the time being was still deep in the recesses of her own mind, far too frightened to emerge lest she repeat what had encouraged the Council to instate the binding in the first place.
Power was supposedly to come with age and practice, and while Catherine certainly had age, she didn't have enough of the practice required to maintain the tight control required to weld such raw and primordial magic. It certainly didn't help that she had been taught to fear it, restricted of its use in only specific situations. For her magic was a double edged sword that more often than not cut her and others painfully deep.
"Seolann an banríon seelie a beannachtaí." Catherine said cryptically before passing out.

Tyrus sighed and laid her on the floor, then fetched his jacket and made a pillow out of it to slide under her head. She had worn herself out. It would be a while before she woke up. Now he had to decide what to do with her. "Kasimir, could you get Edavane? I caught something about the seelie, but she's back to speaking a language I don't know." Hopefully she would be aware enough to speak in English when she woke up.
"I will not get Edavane. I'll get her file and we'll see who her emergency contacts are." That worked too. Tyrus waited patiently keeping watch over the room and over Catherine. The magic hadn't faded yet and he was tired from redirecting hers and teaching her how to redirect her own. He'd have to return to fix the council chamber, assuming he could. She had done an excellent job in her creation. Given she had the stronger magic, it would take him time to be able to fix this.
It wasn't long before Kasimir returned, folder in hand, flipping through the pages. "It lists two. Alexander, but also...well, you said she said something about the seelie? The second is Queen Tatiana of the Seelie court." That would be fun to deal with. Lex wouldn't be much help right now, he suspected. Besides, she had asked for a seelie. Tyrus hesitated a moment.
"Contact Molly then. And let Lex know what happened and that Catherine requested to go to her other contact." Or he assumed requested that. This was going to be so much fun to figure out how to arrange. How did you ask for an audience with a queen you had never met.
